London City Championships selects F4H as one of three charities for their fund raising focus.
It is with immense pleasure that we can announce that London City Championships has adopted F4H, Maggie’s and 21st Century Legacy for their charity fund raising endeavours. This is tremendous news for Future for Heroes, something that will launch us into the rest of 2016 and beyond with increased vigour and determination to support those service leavers and veterans (and spouses where appropriate) who might find ‘Civvy Street’ daunting, a challenge, or just be anxious about the change.
The City has long supported good causes both through large corporate donations and the Guilds and Livery companies. The aim of the Championships is to become a significant fund-raiser in the long tradition of philanthropy established by London’s financial community. There are two goals:
- To celebrate sporting excellence within London’s financial community, and
- To raise funds for worthy charities.
We are hugely grateful to both Simon Jacot de Boinod (of Forum www.forumclubhouse.com ) and Lawson Muncaster (co-founder and MD of City AM www.cityam.com) who between them provide the driving force behind City Championships.
Lastly, for the support you bring, a big thank you to all those competitors taking part: good luck to you all!
